L'Oréal Professionnel is the largest professional haircare range we stock, and that scale is both its strength and its problem. Every range is genuinely well formulated. Very few of them are interchangeable. Buying the wrong one is not a disaster, but it is a slow, expensive way to not fix your hair.
Here is what each of the main ranges is actually for.
Which L'Oréal Professionnel range is for damaged hair?
Absolut Repair Molecular.
This is the range for hair that has been structurally compromised — bleached, over-processed, snapping mid-length, or gone gummy and over-elastic when wet. It works by delivering small peptides into the fibre itself rather than simply coating the outside, which is why the results hold rather than washing out.
The core routine is Absolut Repair Molecular Shampoo 300ml followed by the Rinse-Off Serum 250ml, which replaces conditioner rather than sitting alongside it.

Which L'Oréal Professionnel range is for hard water and colour that fades fast?
Metal Detox — and this one is genuinely underrated.
Metal particles, particularly copper, accumulate inside the hair from tap water. They are a major cause of breakage during colouring and of colour shifting to unexpected tones afterwards. If you live in a hard water area — much of the East Midlands and East Anglia included — this is very likely relevant to you.

For styling, the Curl Expression 10-in-1 Mousse 250ml is the workhorse, the Curl Activator Jelly 250ml gives firmer definition, and the Drying Accelerator 150ml is a genuinely useful product if long drying times are why you avoid wearing your hair curly.

Worth knowing: if your colour is fading unusually fast despite using a colour shampoo, the cause is often water rather than the shampoo. That is a Metal Detox problem, not a Vitamino Color one.

Scalp Advanced, and it splits by symptom.

Do not treat an oily scalp with a dandruff shampoo or vice versa — they are formulated to do opposite things, and using the wrong one usually makes the problem worse.

Liss Unlimited.
Liss Unlimited Shampoo 300ml is the anti-frizz and smoothing range, aimed at hair that goes wild in humidity and takes a long time to blow-dry straight.
